As a Total Force partner and Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, Civil Air Patrol is there to search for and find the lost, provide comfort in times of disaster and work to keep the homeland safe. Its 60,000 members selflessly devote their time, energy and expertise toward the well-being of their communities, while also promoting aviation and related fields through aerospace/STEM education and helping shape future leaders through CAP’s cadet program.

 After assuming the role as social media and marketing manager, Civil Air Patrol experienced a  43% increase  in Facebook likes from 56,855 to 81,489 likes.

Learn to Fly CAP campaign

Throughout the week, Civil Air Patrol gave insight into the critical U.S. airlines pilot shortage. The campaign explained what CAP was doing to help resolve the issue by partnering with several airlines and the U.S. Air Force. The campaign went further in depth as to how people could become pilots, the benefits of flying with CAP and the future of the flight training program in CAP.

#LearntoFlyCAP Facebook posts reached 219,000 users, Instagram posts gained 4,400 impressions, tweets on Twitter gained 13,300 impressions and the LinkedIn posts gained 14,600 impressions, with an aggregate reach of 251,300.

Civil Air Patrol celebrated 70 years of being the U.S. Air Force auxiliary. The organization shared several ways it has assisted the U.S. Air Force over 70 years.

Civil Air Patrol commemorated a painting to be presented to the Pentagon. The painting was transported via CAP vans from Colorado to Washington, D.C. Pictures throughout the convoy were uploaded to social media for followers to track the painting.

The week of April 15th was National Volunteer Week. Because volunteers make up the majority of Civil Air Patrol, the organization recognized several ways the volunteers aid CAP through a variety of posts.
